Lavrov leaves the room

During his speech, Lavrov repeated the Kremlin’s message that had been spreading Russian propaganda for months. – We have a lot of evidence of the criminal activities of Ukraine – said the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Lavrov assured that his country would not allow the territory of Ukraine to become “a threat center for the Russian Federation”. – We have no doubt that Ukraine has recently turned into a totalitarian state – he added.

After giving the speech, Lavrov left the Chamber, which was criticized by other countries. – He left the room, I’m not surprised. I don’t think Lavrov wants to hear the council’s collective condemnation, British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly said, quoted by Sky News.

Zelensky at the UN summit: this is how the war will end

Volodymyr Zelensky also took part in the summit. Speaking to representatives of UN countries, Ukraine’s president stressed that some “strong steps” were needed to end the conflict. First of all, Russia must finally be recognized as a state sponsor of terrorism. It is also necessary to stop the Russian energy and nuclear blackmail and to lower the prices of energy carriers.

In his view, such recognition of Russia as a sponsor of terrorism should take place at all levels – legal and political.

– If there is no legal mechanism, a political decision can be made – at parliamentary level. This is the foundation for restoring the elements of global security. If this bold step is taken, doubts about taking other vital steps will disappear – Ukraine’s president stressed.
