Crimean senator Olga Kowitidi believes that many diseases believed to prevent a person from being considered fit for military service should be excluded from the medical criteria, the portal of the Russian daily newspaper said.

She considered such diseases as flat feet and scoliosis.

“Now Russia not only needs a professional volunteer army, but also” increasing the reserve of young people who are able to serveKowitidi said.

President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization in Russia on Wednesday. The service must include reservists and men who have undergone military training. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that: the mobilization will cover 300,000 people.
